PERFORMERS:

Clare Roggen (Das ImproKollektiv)

In 2011, her journey into improv began with a mind-blowing show at the legendary Second City. Inspired, she delved deeper, attending summer classes at the Second City Chicago. After a 15-month world trip in 2015, Clare returned to Zurich and intensified her commitment to the craft, enrolling in classes at anundpfirsich theater. She continued her training during summers attending courses at various Chicago venues such as the Annoyance Theater, i.O., Playground Theater, Comedy Sportz, and of course the Second City. Alongside improv, Clare showcases her musical talents, singing and playing guitar and ukulele at small gigs. Additionally, she brings joy as a walking act clown, spreading laughter among seniors, children, and hospital patients. Currently, Clare performs improv with Zurich Improv Comedy and “Das ImproKollektiv”.

Matthias Baumann (Das ImproKollektiv)

At the early age of 14, Matthias got the chance to enter the english drama group of his German school, where he stayed until his final exams. Infused with a passion of playing different characters and using nothing but the body and speech as an instrument, he continued on his theatrical journey during his studies, when he took over the english drama group of the University in Mannheim where he worked as an actor and director throughout his vocational career path of becoming a psychotherapist. It was during the warm-ups where the group used improv games to get into stage mode to where Matthias quickly realized that he experienced a lot more fun and freedom in this area. Since 2011, he focuses solely on improvisation and gathered experience with different groups and at several workshops & improv festivals in Germany and Switzerland. After consolidating his mosaic-like improv experiences during the anundpfirsich Masterclass in 2019/2020, he joined “Das ImproKollektiv” to be able to perform regularly on stages in and around Zurich and Winterthur, where he currently resides with his family.
