    This particular format of improvised soap opera has a long history. It started in Canada with Die-Nasty (and their annual 53-Hour Soap-a-Thon), then spread to places like London (with their 50-hour Improv-a-Thon) and to Dad's Garage in Atlanta where Scandal has been running for about 20 years.
