Tara is a Canadian theatre artist, executive communication coach, and educator based in Zurich. She has an MFA in Theatre Practice and a B.Ed in Theatre (University of Alberta) and an Acting/Musical Theatre diploma (Grant MacEwan University). In her master’s thesis, Tara explored how communication can build credibility, presence, and genuine connection. Committed to ongoing professional development, Tara most recently earned Levels 1 and 2 certification in the Estill Voice Training® Method—a voice training framework that integrates vocal anatomy, physiology, and performance.

Tara has worked as an actress, singer, and director for more than three decades, developing a deep practical understanding of how voice, body, intention, and presence shape the way a message is delivered and received. Through her work and research, Tara recognized that these same principles extend far beyond the theatre stage. Senior leaders face similar vocal and communication challenges: they must inspire confidence, communicate complex ideas with clarity, and connect authentically with diverse audiences in presentations, board meetings, media interviews, and other high-stakes conversations. The practical techniques used to develop an actor's presence can be adapted to help executives become more confident, engaging, and authentic communicators.

This realization led Tara to establish her voice and executive coaching practice, where she now works with leaders across industries to strengthen executive presence, vocal impact, and communication effectiveness. 

 

CET has delivered programmes for leaders and teams at organizations including Swiss Re, Zurich Insurance, PwC, EY, Deloitte, RenaissanceRe, UBS, IBM, Google, Meta, Novo Nordisk, Takeda, Fifa, and other global organizations.

 

Currently, she is living her dream being the artistic director of CET.
