Elizabeth Lenzen Biography

Singing and ensembles have always been a part of Elizabeth’s life. Ever since she can remember, she has sung in an ensemble. The beauty, purity, and honesty of singing is a strong force that has consistently penetrated her soul. She knew that her life would always revolve around music and the voice in some way. She loves to create new and exciting programs, projects, and collaborations that intertwine different artistic ideas. She has worked with many ensembles, such as the Coro Giovanile Italiano, the Groupe Vocal de France, Ars Nova Copenhagen, the Chamber Choir of Europe, the Ruse State Opera Orchestra, the Academic Symphony Orchestra Sofia, the United States of America Air Force Band of Liberty, and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. She has been artistic director of the Jugendstimmen Zürich youth women’s ensemble, runs the project-based Schwung Vokalensemble, and has collaborated with the Theatre Arts Collective. Elizabeth holds a Master of Music (Conducting) from the University of Toronto as well as a post-graduate Certificate of Advanced Studies (Orchestral Conducting) from the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. She is a passionate musician and educator, and is also a YouTube content creator with her sister Caroline, both creating: Lifestyle by Liz and Caro.
