WORKSHOP: MOVEMENT

Embodied Acting through Laban/Bartenieff

This workshop introduces actors to embodiment as a foundation for acting practice, using principles from Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies.

Participants explore how movement, stillness, effort, and spatial awareness shape intention, presence, and expressivity. The work supports actors in developing physical clarity, releasing unnecessary tension, and accessing the body as a primary source of learning and creative decision-making.

Movement explorations are integrated with acting practice, helping participants translate embodied experience into character development and text-based work, applicable to both stage and camera contexts.
