Cinzia Mazzei
Early Childhood Theatre & Music Educator
By day, Cinzia nurtures the youngest imaginations — and by night (and weekends), she explores the wilder edges of play, clown, and physical theatre. With over 15 years of experience weaving music and creativity into early childhood education across Italy, the UK, and Switzerland, she has always believed that the best learning happens when it feels like magic.
Cinzia is the co-creator of Tiny Tales, an interactive theatre project for young children that blends live music with storytelling and play. Her work is rooted in Gordon’s Music Learning Theory, jazz improvisation, and a deep conviction that every child — and every adult — carries an inner performer waiting to be unleashed. As a mother of two girls, this is not just a philosophy — it is lived experience.
Originally from Italy, she trained in theatre improvisation before finding her way to Close Encounters Theatre, where she now continues to explore clown and physical theatre. For Cinzia, the stage is not a place to be perfect — it is a place to be alive.
