Maxime is a researcher who spends his time outside of the lab fighting food waste, repairing things and playing the guitar for a theater improv. He learned the guitar chords in a scout camp after years of boring classical guitar. Since then, he animated many spontaneous camp-fire singing evenings and karaoke nights. He likes to play with his acoustic guitar, as well as his nylon guitar, electric guitar, ukulele and even xaphoon (a pocket saxophone). Rather than learning and reproducing complicated solos, Maxime likes to improvise, to play with the current emotions and to explore what can be created.

 

He moved from France to Switzerland in 2020 and didn't expect to stay until now: after falling in love with the cultural (and countercultural) life in Zurich. Since the beginning of 2024, he accompanies the musical improv group The Basic Pitches with the acoustic guitar, and participated in many shows with them and other groups.
