FRANKENSTEIN ADAPTED FOR THE STAGE BY EMMA KELLY - Dec 6
In a world on the brink of a new age of artificial intelligence, the creation of life in our own image is a valid area of exploration. What does it mean to be human? What possibilities and inventions are before us? If we have the science to create human consciousness, should we?

Info
Close Encounters Theatre will create an innovative ensemble based production of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein adapted for the stage by Emma Kelly. Frankenstein tells the story of gifted scientist Victor Frankenstein who succeeds in giving life to a being of his creation. However, this is not the perfect specimen he imagines that it will be, but rather a hideous creature who he and humankind reject. In a world on the brink of a new age of artificial intelligence, the creation of life in our own image is a valid area of exploration. What does it mean to be human? What possibilities and inventions are before us? If we have the science to create human consciousness, should we?
